Premium Cotton
There is a lot of loose talk about Egyptian cotton in streetwear. We don't use it, and we won't claim we do. What we use is combed ring-spun cotton — and on much of the range, GOTS-certified organic combed ring-spun cotton. Here is exactly what that means.
Combed ring-spun cotton
Ring-spinning twists and thins the yarn continuously, which makes it finer and stronger than the open-end yarn used in cheap blanks. Combing then strips out the short fibres and impurities before spinning. The result is a smoother surface, less pilling, and a fabric that holds its shape through repeated washing.
Weight, and why it matters
Fabric weight is measured in grams per square metre. It is the most honest number on a spec sheet, so we publish it on every product.
- 142–170 g/m² — tank tops and summer tees. Light and breathable.
- 200–237 g/m² — our oversized tees. The Oversized Heavyweight Tee and the Icons Box Tee sit at 237 g/m², the heaviest tees we make.
- 280 g/m² — mid-weight hoodies and sweatshirts, for spring and autumn.
- 339–350 g/m² — heavyweight fleece. Crewnecks, zip hoodies, brushed interiors.
Certifications, item by item
Selected pieces carry GOTS and OCS certification for organic cotton content, GRS certification for recycled polyester, and OEKO-TEX Standard 100. Several are PETA-Approved Vegan. Each product page lists which certifications apply to that specific garment — we don't make a blanket claim across the catalogue, because it would not be true.
Elastane, where it belongs
Our wide-leg pants and long shorts are 95% cotton with 5% elastane at 300 g/m². The elastane is there so the leg drapes without restricting movement. Everywhere else the cotton stands on its own.
